Transfer a registered participant’s entry to another person or sub-event

The Transfer Participant from Entity Actions lets organizers reassign a registered participant’s entry to another person or move it to a different sub-event within the same main event.

This is helpful when someone can’t attend, wants to switch distances or categories, or has arranged for another person to take their place.

Transfers update registration details without needing to cancel and create a new registration.

Transfer to another person via email

This Transfer Type allows admins to initiate a transfer on behalf of a registered participant. All that is needed is the email address of the athlete who would be receiving the existing entry.

After initiating the transfer, the receiving athlete will receive an invitation email to the event. Once accepted, the athlete will have to fill out their participant information and pay any transfer fees set.

Transfer to another person and input their information now

This Transfer Type allows admins to initiate a transfer on behalf of a registered participant on the spot. The receiving athlete's participant information would need to be filled out on the following Participant Information form page in order to complete the transfer.

If there are any transfer fees set up, an admin can force a free transfer by checking the "Force Free Transfer" box. Otherwise, the receiving athlete will need to complete payment for the fees on Stripe after completing the Participant Information form.

Move to another event/sub-event

This Transfer Type allows admins to transfer a registered participant to another sub-event that they admin access to. The new sub-event can be from another event outside of the existing event.
