If you are organizing a paid event, you will be asked if you want to opt into organizer event insurance during event creation. Organizer event insurance helps organizers recoup losses from their event in the case that they need to cancel their event for a qualified reason..

Organizer event insurance is only available for paid events and can only be opted into before your event is made "live."
